Pour a cup of water in the pot, place a trivet and place the cake pan on top. For Instant Pot ULTRA: Close lid. Select CAKE button, press START. For Instant Pot DUO & LUX: Set vent to Sealing position. Press Manual 40 mins (high).

Tips for Making Perfect Chocolate Brownies
Always start with room temperature ingredients (butter & egg). Please keep in mind that the time it takes for butter to come to room temperature in summer is way shorter than winter-time.
When mixing the brownie-mix, gently fold it in using a spatula. That prevents over-mixing the batter and reduces air-bubble formation in the batter. That is key for the dense texture of the brownies.
I prefer to line the bottom of the cake pan with parchment rounds. That results in a guaranteed and mess-free release.
For best results, cool the brownies 10 mins after cooking.
